Dolores’ life began on Jan. 27, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Redmirski) Liebner.

She worked as a secretary for the American Bar Association and was the co-owner of the Sunrise Café in Sister Lakes from 1984-2005.

Dolores was a true survivor as she survived the December 1972 airplane crash near Midway Airport in Chicago.

Her loving family includes: her son, Wayne Pendrey of Sister Lakes; her brother, Walter (Betty) Liebner; nieces, Kathi (Mike) Popovich, Beth (Dave) Gulvas, Donna (Drew) Batty, Nancy (Frank) Sparano and Laura (Al) Seliger; and great-nieces, Kara and Meghan Gulvas, Alyssa and Alexa Batty and Gabrielle Sparano.

Dolores, 84, of Sister Lakes, formerly of South Chicago, passed away at her home on Monday, March 28, 2011.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 768 Lincoln Ave., Calumet City, Ill., with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City.
