CASSOPOLIS — Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Monday afternoon, March 28, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Central Dispatch received a call from the Cass County Road Commission, indicating one of its employees found a body lying in a field along side the road on Lane Road, south of Davis Lake Street in Jefferson Township.

Cass County investigators were able to identify the deceased as Kim Sue Stout, 38 of Mishawaka, Ind.

At this time the cause of death is unknown but appears suspicious in nature.

The case remains under investigation.
