Officer Ivery Cross was arrested Friday. He was scheduled to be arraigned in court Monday afternoon but the arraignment has been rescheduled for Thursday.

Information regarding Cross’ arrest has been limited due to the fact that he has not yet been formerly charged in court.

Police Chief Ric Huff issued a statement on Friday which did not name Cross but did say one of the department’s officers was under investigation by the Michigan State Police for allegations of misconduct while on duty.

Huff said the department was fully cooperating with the state police investigation and is conducting a thorough internal investigation into the matter.

Cross was taken into custody Friday afternoon by the Michigan State Police and his police authority has been suspended. Detective First Lieutenant Charles A. Christensen, Michigan State Police, is acting as lead investigator in the matter.
