Cass County Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr is reporting that on Monday at approximately 9:36 a.m., a personal injury traffic crash occurred in the east bound lane on U.S. 12, east of M-217, Porter Township in Cass County, Michigan.

A pickup truck driven by Zachery Jacobs, 21, of Vandalia received multiple injuries when he failed to see a garbage truck, driven by Todd Camilo-Guijosa, 23, which had stopped to make a left turn into a driveway, and ran into the garbage  truck.

Jacobs was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by Porter ambulance for his injuries sustained in the crash.

Camilo-Guilosa and his passenger, Jason Harman, 37, were not injured in the crash.
