Dale R. Linsenmier, 51, of Superior Street in Niles, died at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles following a brief illness.

Mr. Linsenmier was born Jan. 18, 1960 in Niles to Ross R. and Laura C. (Carr) Linsenmier. He was a lifetime resident of Niles. For 22 years he was a faithful employee of Toefco Engineered Coating Systems, Inc. in Niles.

Dale attended First Missionary Church in Niles. He was a Special Olympics participant and avid bowler. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan and also enjoyed professional wrestling and most other sports. He enjoyed vacationing with Jerry Smith. He enjoyed his association with Open Door and Gateway. Dale loved his friends and family very much. He never met a stranger; they were always a friend.

Mr. Linsenmier was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving family includes his aunts, Mary Olsen and Ruth Zimmerman, both of Townsend, Mont., and several cousins.

Robert was a resident of Friendly Circle Adult Foster Care home since 2000, where he enjoyed special friendships with the residents and caregivers.

Funeral services for Dale R. Linsenmier will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Mark Slabaugh, associate pastor of First Missionary Church in Niles, officiating.

Interment will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.

The family will receive relatives and friends beginning one hour prior to services at the funeral home Friday.
