Beth Grishaber and Chad Kaufman of Premier Rental Purchase in Niles surprised Angela Keys Tuesday afternoon by presenting her with an $800 lift chair they delivered to her home on Oak Street.

She is recovering from an auto accident near South Haven Valentine’s Day which killed her 31-year-old husband, Dowagiac firefighter Jimmy Keys.

“They were expecting the delivery on a normal contract agreement, but she wasn’t expecting it to be donated,” Grishaber said. The recliner comes equipped with power controls which not only let a patient lie down, “but can go the other way and stand you almost completely up.”
