In the aftermath of last week’s blizzard-like weather, for the 12 people who won cash and prizes at Saturday’s Ice Time Festival in Dowagiac, the time spent bundling up in layer upon layer of warm clothing was likely worth the effort.

The festival and participating business locations awarded $250 in Universal Dowagiac Gift Cards to winners of in-store drawings.

Six-year-old Damien Armstrong and 8-year-old Lindsey Williamson, both of Dowagiac, won the two children’s drawings that awarded plush snowmen and lap-size blankets to the winners.

The children’s drawings, which were held at The Red Raven and Who Knew? Consignment, were co-sponsored by the Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the 15th annual winter arts festival.

The festival and participating businesses presented $25 Universal Dowagiac Gift Certificates to winners of the 10 in-store drawings, who were announced Wednesday.

Donna Korzun of Dowagiac won the drawing at Beeson Street Bar and Grill.

Bernadette Pratl of Dowagiac won the drawing at Booth’s Country Florist and Gifts.

Diane Weaver of Niles won the drawing at Imperial Furniture.

Andrene Heathcote of Dowagiac won the drawing at The Marshall Shoppe.

Tobin Thomas of Dowagiac was the winner of the drawing held at Wounded Minnow Saloon.

Bev Rank of Dowagiac won the drawing at Oh My.

Vickie Mitchell of Niles won the drawing at The Red Raven.

Stephanie Beel of Dowagiac won the drawing held at Shirley’s Flowers.

Carla Getz of Benton Harbor won the drawing at Vincent J. Jewelers.

The drawing at Who Knew? Consignment was won by Deb Kamer of Eau Claire.
