Heather Nagelkerk is engaged to be married July 16 to Jon Den Houter.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Harriett and Bill Nagelkerk of Grand Rapids.
Her grandparents are Evy and John Nagelkerk of Grand Rapids.
Heather graduated from Grand Rapids South Christian in 1993.
She attended Grand Valley State University, earning a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in higher education administration.
Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Kathryn Den Houter of Lowell and the late Leonard Den Houter.
He is the grandson of the late Edith and John Den Houter of Cascade.
Jon graduated from Lowell High School in 1998.
He attended Calvin Seminary, graduating with a master of divinity degree.
He is pastor of First Christian Church in Dowagiac.
