Former Dowagiac resident Robert Downer, 32, of Saginaw, died Tuesday, Dec. 14. He passed away peacefully in his sleep due to complications from congestive heart failure.

Robert leaves behind: his wife, Jennifer (Fergison); his children, Annastasia, Anwar and Aidin; his mother, Hattie Johnson; brothers, Eric (Carrie) Johnson and Samuel Johnson.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at First United Methodist Church in Dowagiac on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Kasper officiating.
