G.W. “Dub” Reed, 85, of Dowagiac, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010. His life began in Leachville Ark., on Jan. 2, 1925.

He was born to William and Lorraine (McPipe) Reed. He was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church of God in Dowagiac. Dub is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Pauline; son, Jim (Elaine) Reed of Coldwater; daughter, Diann (Benny) Alsup of Dowagiac; five granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Whorley of Belding. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his son, Gordon Wayne Reed; sister, Maevine Lindley; and brother, Zebedee Reed. Funeral services have already taken place.
