NILES — Judy Ann Sammons, 63, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Forest Glen Assisted Living, Dowagiac.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1947, in Dowagiac to the late Alby and Olive (Horner) Sammons.

Judy had many friends at First Christian Church in Dowagiac and Woodland Industries, where she worked for several years and Forest Glen where she lived for the past four years.

Judy enjoyed wintering for many years in Florida with her parents.

She loved dancing, fishing, ceramics, movies and attending Jubilee.

She mostly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Her friendly personality touched many lives during her journey through life. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, David James Fox.

Judy is survived by: two sisters, Alleta (Gordon) Lang of Dowagiac and Donna (Jim) Fox of Dowagiac, eight nieces and nephews, 18 grand-nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Judy will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51, Niles.

A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral.

A private interment will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
