EDWARDSBURG — Barbara J. Tredway, 50, of Knottingham Lane, Edwardsburg, lost her life Thursday evening in a crash at about 5 on May Street, just east of M-62.

Chief Kenneth Wray of the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department reported Friday his officers were still investigating the fatal crash.

According to a witness, the vehicle driven by Tredway drifted left of center while traveling east on May Street, striking a tree on the north side of the highway.

Tredway was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Wray said it appears there were no alcohol or drugs involved. Her seatbelt was used. The airbag deployed.
