Betty M. Hassinger, 79 of Cassopolis, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at Cassopolis Health Care Facility, Cassopolis.

She was born May 21, 1931 in Calvin Township to Mark and Effie (Harris) LeMunyon. She married David Hassinger, who predeceased her Nov. 10, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cindy; sisters, Amber, Elda and Virginia; and brother, Paris.
Betty loved the outdoors and hunted, fished and was one of the few women who trapped. She was a garage sale and flea market junkie.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Matthews of Niles; two sons, David Hassinger of Elkhart and Robin (Debbie) Hassinger of Cassopolis; five grandchildren, Tessa, Lauren, Jeremy, Amber and Ashley; twin great-granddaughters, Keisha and Adrianna; and sister-in-law, Evelyn LeMunyon of Elkhart.
Family and friends will gather Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
Services will be Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Reames and Norton Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
