Doris Cabana Rieck, 76, formerly of Edwardsburg and Mishawaka, Ind., died Friday, Oct 29, 2010 at Lawden Nursing Home in Detroit after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born July 26, 1934 in South Bend to the late Herbert and Leila (Lobaugh) Cabana.

As a hair dresser, avid bowler, antique dealer, child and human rights advocate, Doris had many dear friends who made her life rich, full and vibrant.

She is survived by a sister, Edith Tyler of Cassopolis; sons, Jeff Rieck of Berkley, Mich., Troy Rieck of Edwardsburg; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in celebration of Doris’s life contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or your local hospice.
