Bryan Douglas Eden, 52, of Heatherton Drive, Granger, Ind., and formerly of Niles, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at his home unexpectedly but of natural causes.

He was born March 4, 1958 in Niles to Charles Eden and Dorothy (McCormick) Eden. He graduated from Niles High School and lived in Niles most of his life.

He attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Niles, where he was active in the choir and was a solo vocalist. As a young man he enjoyed tennis. He also enjoyed fishing at Indian Lake. He had a large collection of recorded music and movies.

Bryan is survived by his mother, Dorothy Eden of Granger; brother, Don Eden of Niles; nephew, Derek Eden; nieces, Kady Eden and Brea Eden; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eden, who died in 1996.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Raymond Fulbright of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Friends may call beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
