Stanley Miskowicz, 98, of Cassopolis, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at  Emeritus at Arborwood in Granger, Ind.

He was born on May 9, 1912 in Chicago to Francis and Frances (Tajak) Miskowicz.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Cassopolis and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Harvey, Ill. He retired from RR Donnelley & Sons Company in Chicago as a photo engraver. He was active in the Knights of Columbus of both churches and the Holy Name Society in Harvey, as well as the Optimists Club of Harvey. He was a golfer, a violinist and sang in the choir.

Stan is survived by his one daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Paul Hackl of Florence, Ariz.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard Miskowicz of Cassopolis and Marlene Ordakowski of Chicago, John and Laurelle Miskowicz of LaPorte, Ind.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and loving friend, Ellen James of Vandalia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria (Mikosz) Miskowicz.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Emeritus at Arborwood and the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care for their special and attentive care.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 421 North Broadway St., Cassopolis, with the Rev. Fr. Donald Potts officiating.

Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2300 Portage St., Suite 341, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
