The Dowagiac varsity tennis team was swept in singles competition on Wednesday afternoon by Berrien Springs as the Shamrocks posted a 5-3 non-conference victory.

The Chieftains earned all three of its wins in doubles competition as Aaron Blaske and Jon Robinson defeated Michael Hong and Everett Shembarger 7-5, 3-6 and 6-3; Marc Tyrakowski and Dylan Chorba defeated Joey Zahrn and Nick Little 6-0 and 6-4; and Ben Thompson and Christian Hess defeated Carl Steihauser and Jake Wold 6-4, 0-6, 6-4.
