Carol Ann Gold, 60, of Niles, died at 4:37 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph of natural causes.

She was born May 28, 1950 in South Bend. She was a lifetime area resident.

Carol was employed in retail sales.

She was married April 6, 1993 in Niles to Henry Gold, who survives. He lives in Niles.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Violet Ernsperger; and two brothers, Fred Gross and Roger Ernsperger.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; sons, Eddie Heath of Niles and Eric Gold of Niles; daughters, Lisa Oswalt-Lipscomb of Marcellus and Shanna Clark of Cassopolis; brothers, David Ernsperger of South Bend, Lynn Ernsperger of Buchanan, Dean Ernsperger of South Bend, Denny Ernsperger of Niles and Jerry Ernsperger of Augusta, Ga.; sisters, Sandy Dickey of Niles and Sharon Faher of Eau Claire, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Kristen Oswalt, David Oswalt, Sarah Heath, Devin Heath and Hayden Clark.

Services will be at noon Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan with Pastor Brian Hedges of Fulkerson Park Baptist Church in Niles officiating.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the funeral home.
