SCHOOLCRAFT — The Brandywine volleyball team defeated host Schoolcraft in straight sets to capture the Schoolcraft Invitational on Friday.

The Bobcats defeated Lawrence, lost to Schoolcraft and split with Mendon to finish third in pool play.

In tournament play, Brandywine defeated Gobles 25-22, 19-25 and 15-6 to advance to the semifinals.

The Bobcats knocked off Mendon 25-21 and 25-22 to earn a spot in the championship.

Against the Eagles, Brandywine won 25-18, 24-26 and 15-12.

Lauren Leonard had 52 kills and 34 digs, while Kelsey Prestly had 49 kills.

Morgan Smallwood finished the tournament with 10 blocks, while Jessy Cooper had 90 assists.

Mackenzie Shelton led Brandywine with 38 digs and she also contributed seven aces.

Ashley DeJonge also had seven aces.
