CHICAGO — When the Big Ten Network kicks off its fourth season on the air, two new main play-by-play voices and a talented new group of accomplished former Big Ten stars as analysts or hosts will be behind the microphones.

LeCharles Bentley, Rosevelt Colvin, Muhsin Muhammad, Derek Rackley, Amani Toomer and Dan Dierdorf are among the new faces on the Big Ten Network this fall, bringing strong Big Ten connections and a combined 66 years of NFL experience, eight Pro Bowl honors and three Super Bowl rings.

The network will also introduce Eric Collins and Tom Hart as the new main play-by-play voices on Big Ten Network football game telecasts.

“We’re thrilled to bring aboard an outstanding group of new talent to complement our existing group of hosts, analysts and reporters,” Big Ten Network VP/Production and Executive Producer Mark Hulsey said. “As a network, we’re trying to raise the bar in every way. We want fans to see and hear improvement in every facet of our productions, and this new group of on-air talent will help us accomplish that goal.”

To further enhance its live event telecasts, the network is also rolling out improved production elements such as new music and a redesigned graphics package that includes the “Fox Box” and ticker.

Dierdorf will host Big Ten Film Vault (debuts Sept. 7, airing Tuesdays, 8 p.m.), the network’s new show that unlocks a treasure trove of footage that dates back to the 1940s, most of which has never aired on national television. Dierdorf was a consensus All-American offensive lineman at Michigan, before embarking on a Hall of Fame career as a member of the NFL’s St. Louis Cardinals. After his playing career, Dierdorf became well-known as a broadcaster, most notably on Monday Night Football.

Bentley will co-host the Big Ten Pulse (debuts Sept. 9, airing Thursdays, 9 p.m.), alongside popular Iowa media personality Jon Miller.  Bentley was an All-American offensive lineman at Ohio State and a two-time Pro Bowl selection as a member of the New Orleans Saints.  The Big Ten Pulse will be a first-of-its-kind show for the Big Ten Network. The weekly opinion-driven show will have a fast-paced format designed to stimulate debate and will incorporate the voice of the fan through social media, while debating the hottest topics and most pressing issues involving the Big Ten and college sports.

Colvin, the former Purdue star and New England Patriots linebacker, and Muhammad, the former Michigan State and Carolina Panthers wide receiver, will alternate weeks on the Big Ten Football Report (debuts Sept. 3, airing Fridays, 8 p.m.). Mike Hall will host and be joined by another former Super Bowl champion, Howard Griffith.

Rackley, an eight-year NFL veteran and former tight end and long snapper for the Golden Gophers, will join former Iowa defensive lineman Anthony Herron and host Rick Pizzo on Big Ten Press Pass (debuts Sept. 7, airing Tuesdays, 8:30 p.m. ).

Toomer was a two-time All-Big Ten selection at Michigan and went on to become the leading wide receiver in New York Giants history, helping the franchise to a victory in Super Bowl XLII. Toomer will serve as the analyst alongside Pizzo on Big Ten Football Saturday Kickoff (debuts Sept. 4, airing Saturdays, 10 a.m.), which will originate from a different Big Ten stadium each week.

Collins will team with returning analyst and former Northwestern defensive back Chris Martin and sideline reporter Charissa Thompson on Big Ten Network football telecasts. Collins also currently serves as the television play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent eight years with ABC and ESPN, where he called Big Ten and other college football games, as well as other college sporting events, including the College World Series. A native and resident of Evanston, Ill., Collins previously worked for Fox Sports as a play-by-play announcer and Fox Sports Chicago as an anchor and reporter.

Hart comes to the network after five years with CBS College Sports, where he was the lead college football and basketball play-by-play announcer. Hart has also called ACC football, SEC baseball and basketball and minor league baseball for CSS (Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast). A native of Columbia, Mo., Hart is a graduate of the University of Missouri. On Big Ten Network telecasts, Hart will work with Herron and sideline reporter Lisa Byington.

Nicole Zaloumis will co-host The Big Ten Women’s Show (debuts Sp.m. PM ET) with returning studio host Brittney Payton. Zaloumis has most recently worked for FSN Northwest as a studio host and reporter for Seattle Mariners games, as well as FSN’s college football and basketball telecasts. Zaloumis started her career at CSTV (now CBS College Sports).
