Dowagiac tennis team defeats Three Rivers, 5-2

THREE RIVERS — The Dowagiac tennis team squared its season and Wolverine Conference record at 1-1 with a 5-2 win over host Three Rivers on Wednesday.

The Chieftains dropped the No. 1 and No. 2 singles flight and both teams forfeited at No. 4 singles.

Dowagiac won at No. 3 singles with Amarpal Sarao and swept the doubles flights to earn the win.

Three Rivers forfeited at No. 4 doubles.

Winning for the Chieftains in doubles action were Aaron Blaske and Jon Robinson; Marc Tyrakowski and Dylan Chorba; and Christian Hess and Ben Thompson.

Julian Marshall and John Brosnan picked up the forfeit victory.
