Virginia Chase Kittleson, 76, of Edwardsburg died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at Poppen Hospice Residence, Muskegon, Mich.
She was born Sept. 21, 1933 in Olean, N.Y. to the late Richard and Ellen (Miller) Chase. She married Merrill Kittleson on May 23, 1959 in Jamestown, N.Y. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1991.
Virginia was the original “American Picker” and will be missed by her antiquing friends, especially those who sold with her at the Shipshewana Flea Market for the past 30 years.
She is survived by two sisters, Clara (Billy) Maynard, of Bastrop, Texas and Gladys Hanson of Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Dobrez of Grand Haven, Mich.; and a son, Robert Kittleson of Riverview, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Kimberly Dobrez and Kathryn Dobrez, of Grand Haven.
A memorial will be held in the Michiana area in the fall.
