Richard L. “Dick” Bromley, 86, of Niles died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center of natural causes.

He was born May 4, 1924 in Buchanan. He was a lifetime area resident.

Richard was a hair dresser for 40 years. He was a member of Buchanan Christian Church.

He married Genevieve (Wickler) Bromley on April 13, 1946 in Niles. She preceded him in death on Feb. 5, 1997.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Keith “Rick” (Karen) Bromley, of Vandalia; daughters, Janyce Lee “Jay” (Bob) Clancy, of Berrien Springs, Cindy Sue (Ron) Samolcyzk, of Alco, Ark., and Dige Kay (John) Kolberg, of Berrien Center; brother, Fred (Sis) Bromley, of Dowagiac; sister, Norma C. Cramer, of Buchanan; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan with Pastor Sean Kidd of Buchanan Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
