Rebecca Jeanne Stephenson, 65, of Cassopolis died Friday, July 30, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

She was born Jan. 2, 1945 in South Bend, the fifth child of Ted and Donnie (Singleton) Hunt. She married her high school sweetheart, William Stephenson, on Aug. 17, 1963 in Cassopolis. They were blessed with two children.

She was a member of Team Mona-Vie.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Don Kelley Jr., of Port Charlotte, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Dawn Stephenson, of Dailey; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jean Paul) Marcino, Randy Kelley, Samantha (Jason) Clark, Amber and “little” Olivia Stephenson; great-granddaughter, Aryianna Kelley; great-grandson, Tucker Clark; sister, Denise Robinette, of Constantine; four brothers, Theodore (Rosa) Hunt, Joe Hunt, Timothy (Teri) Hunt and Garry (Sally) Hunt.

Becky was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hunt, and two brothers, Vernon Hunt and Robert Hunt.

The family received friends and relatives Monday, Aug. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis. The funeral was Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at noon at Edwardsburg Community Baptist Church, 28647 U.S. 12 West, Edwardsburg, with Pastor Thad Stout officiating.

Interment followed at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Sumnerville, following by a social lunch at the church.

Becky’s prayer was to have memorial donations made to Awana Youth Group of Edwardsburg Community Baptist Church, P.O. Box 598, 28647 U.S. Highway West, Edwardsburg, MI 49112.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the outstanding staff at South Bend Memorial Hospital. God’s grace to you all.
