Wagner found alive near Stone Lake

CASSOPOLIS – After being missing for nearly two weeks, Charles Edward Wagner was found just after noon Saturday on the east side of Stone Lake in Cassopolis.

According to a press release issued by the Cassopolis Police Department, Wagner, who had been missing since July 4, was located by Cassopolis police officers.

Wagner, 43, was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac by LifeCare ambulance where he was reported by Cassopolis Police Chief Frank Williams to be dehydrated, but in stable condition as of 3 p.m.

No further details were released about the 13 days Wagner was missing and the case remains under investigation.

The Cassopolis Police Department was aided by the Cassopolis Fire Department, the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and its Marine Division in the search.
