The Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum opened a new exhibit, “Teapots and Treasures,” on July 12. The display will continue until Aug. 25.

In addition to the display of teapots, teacups and saucers are other collections of area residents. Included are old spice tins, wooden kitchen items, postage stamps, pins, cat collectibles and sewing baskets.

The next exhibit will be titled “Grandpa’s Garage,” featuring the items that would be found in a garage. Anyone from the community is invited to contribute items to any of the museum exhibits. “Grandpa’s Garage” is planned to open Sept. 7 and end on Oct. 20. Winter Wonderland will be put into place Nov. 3 through Dec. 15.

The museum will be participating in the U.S. 12 Yard Sale Aug. 13-14. Anyone wishing to donate items for the sale may leave them at the museum any afternoon. In addition, spaces are available for rent for the sale for $10. Bottled water and two chairs will be provided.

The museum will be hosting an Ice Cream Social Aug. 15 at 3:30 p.m. following the Annual All School Reunion.

All museum events are open to the public and admission is by donation.
