Edna V. Bailey, 85, peacefully passed on with loving family, hand-in-hand, at her side.
She was born Jan. 24, 1925 to Cecil and Alma Hayes in McKenzie, Ala., the second of seven children. She was the last of the original founders of the Oneness Church of God on Victory Street, where she served as treasurer. Hobbies included gardening, quilting, stories and puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Freddie B. Bailey, and daughters, Phyllis Ann Bailey and Patricia Ann Bailey Stokes.

She is survived by her children, Brenda, Eugene (Teresa), Stevie (Linda), Sheila (Philip Morris), Jess (Sarah), Janice (Howard Carter) and Michael (Melinda); her brother, Robert Earl (Patsy) Hayes; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Bethel Tabernacle in Niles with the Rev. Baer officiating.

Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan will immediately follow services.
