Edward E. Davis Sr., of Broadway, Niles died at his home Friday, June 11, 2010 at 8:55 a.m. following an extended illness. He was 56 years old.

He was born in Niles on January 8, 1954 to Kenneth and Phyllis (Krisher) Davis, attended Niles Community Schools and lived here all of his life.

Previously employed at Manchester Tank Manufacturing in Elkhart, Ind., he enjoyed fishing and was a former member of the Niles Eagles where he enjoyed playing darts.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Light who died in 2008 and step-mother Dorothy Davis who died in 2006.

On April 20, 1974 in Niles, he married Julianna (Jann) Davis, who survives.

He is also survived by his parents, Kenneth (Patsy) Davis and Phyllis Davis, daughters Roxane Alejandre of Niles and Kelly Ann Davis of Mishawaka; sons Jeffery Davis, Jeremy Davis and Edward Davis II all of Niles and Brian Davis of Baltimore, Md.; sisters Sally Hunt of Cassopolis, Diana Davis and Linda Pierson of Niles, Kristi Davis and Dawn Brewer of Bremen Ind.; brothers Richard Brewer and Kenneth Davis of South Bend; grandchildren Kassandra, Jose, Michael, Dominic, Brian, Jacqueline, Alex, and Jacob; great-grandchild Alexandra “Ali”; six nieces and six nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
