A trio of players from Niles and two each from Dowagiac and Edwardsburg were all selected to the Division 2 All-District Baseball Team, which was selected by the coaches earlier this week.

Niles landed first baseman Kevin Gross, infielder Matthew McLaughlin and utility player David Garner on the squad.

Gross and Garner are both seniors.

Jason Turner (infield) and Zac Hyatt (pitcher) represented the Chieftains, while catcher Wade Smous and infielder Zach Thompson were the selections from Edwardsburg.

Former Dowagiac standout Mark Nate, now the head man at Lakeshore, was selected as a coach.
