Glen’s life began on Oct. 6, 1922, in Glendora, the son of Charles and Lola (Blanchard) Rank.

He was united in marriage to Mabel (Huff) Rank on May 29, 1942, in South Bend, Ind.
Mr. Rank was a self-employed mechanic and trucking company owner.

He enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, going smelt dipping and taking care of people’s lawns.

His family includes: his children, David (Beverly) Rank of Dowagiac, Steven (Nancy) Rank of White Pigeon and daughter in law Sharon Rank of Dowagiac, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and his sisters, Frances Mielke and Deanna Adams.

Glen passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Three Rivers.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mabel, a son Jerry Rank, sister Dorothy Stamp and brothers Clyde, Charles, Clinton and Raymond Rank.

His family will gather with friends on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where his funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Doug Cuthbert of Sister Lakes Community Church.

He will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles.

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Cass County Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
