Lola’s life began on April 19, 1918, in Filion, Mich., the daughter of Herbert and Laura (Horton) Toner.

She was college educated as a nurse and worked in health care for her entire career.
Lola was united in marriage to Doyle S. Hall on Nov. 30, 1940, in Filion and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Fla., and a former member of the Filion Baptist Church.

Her loving family includes: her sons, Robert (Kathy) Hall of Dowagiac and Gary Hall of Port Austin, Mich.; grandchildren, Carman (Jonathan) Wildes of Cassopolis and Chris (Missy) Hall of Dowagiac; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Victoria, Olivia, Kristina and Hannah Wildes, Christian, Jackson, Laura and Zachary Hall and several nieces and nephews.

Lola passed away on June 3, 2010, at Lakeland Specialty Care Center in Berrien Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband Doyle in 1999, a son Kenneth and sisters Elda Nelson and Vera Gilbert.

Her family will gather with friends on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Yazel & Clark Chapel led by the Rev. John Sears.

She will be laid to rest in South Wayne Cemetery.
