Rangers wrap up regular season with split

The Cassopolis baseball team wrapped up its regular season with a split against visiting Constantine on Thursday, May 27.

The Rangers won the first game 4-3 and then dropped the second game 8-5.

Dwayne Morgan picked up the victory in the opening game in relief of starter Kevin Hatcher.

Nathan Blad had a double and Morgan a triple.

In the nightcap, Brandon Davis took the loss for the Rangers.

DeShaun Curtis had a homerun and a double, while Tommy First also homered.

The Rangers will enter the district tournament at Berrien Springs on Saturday with a 15-15 record.

Edwardsburg at Bridgman
Edwardsburg concluded its Lakeland Conference and regular season on May 27 with a split against Bridgman.

The Eddies lost the opener 6-1, but bounced back to take the second game 12-5.

Zach Thompson took the loss in the first game.

In the nightcap, Kyle Slack was the winning pitcher.

Austin Stinnett had a pair of doubles, while Mike Kempton and Taylor Coquillard also had doubles.

The Eddies will face Lakeshore at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Division 2 Districts in Stevensville.
