Dwayne and Saran (Peters) Brock are celebrating their 50-year anniversary. The couple was married June 4, 1960 in Niles.

Dwayne came to Niles from Caraway, Ark. in 1951. Saran was born in Niles. They both graduated from Niles High School. Dwayne retired from National Standard in 1995 after 38 years of service. Saran retired from Wal-Mart in 2008 after 10.5 years of service.

They enjoy fishing together. Dwayne does wood carving. They are very active in their church.

The couple has three children: Loralee Schultz, of Grand Ledge, Mich.; Ron Brock, of Niles; and Kimberly Simpson, of Niles. They have nine grandchildren.
