Rosie’s life began on Sept. 1, 1923, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of Charles and Maggie (Ford) Moore.

Rosie, 86, of Dowagiac, was united in marriage to Clarence Coulson in May of 1940 in Missouri.  Rosie was a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, dogs, cats and especially children.

Rosie loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting.

Her loving family includes: her children, Bobbie (Stella) Coulson of Decatur, Bill (Terrie) Coulson of New Mexico and Charles (Shirley) Coulson of Dowagiac; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosie passed away at her home on Friday, May 28, 2010.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 2005, her children Judy Burns and Telice Weaver, her sister Rachel Harrison and brothers Oscar, Frank and Wesley Moore.

Her family gathered with friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where her funeral service was held at 5 p.m. Sunday led by Brother Albert Adams of The Church in Benton Harbor.
