Colleen J. Allen, 57, of 18440 Marcellus Highway, Marcellus, passed away Thursday morning, May 20, 2010 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born July 2, 1952 in Three Rivers, MI the daughter of Jack D. and Marilyn A. (Martin) Shannon.  She married Dennis E. Allen Oct. 23, 1994 in Wakelee.
She had lived most of her life at Marcellus and graduated from Marcellus High School in 1970 and attended college for three years.  She was formerly employed as an executive secretary at the White Oaks Retirement Home in Lawton.  She was a member of the Penn Friends Church and the Worship Team.
Surviving besides her husband Dennis, are one daughter, Joy Gebbink of Marcellus; one son, Benjamin Baorn of Marcellus; three grandchildren, Uriah Lindsey, Jordyn Gebbink & Dyllon Gebbink; one sister Sherry (Wayne) Rex of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Kerry Shannon of Zeeland and David (Sheree) Shannon of Brentwood, Calif. and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 24 in the Penn Friends Church with Brother David Shannon officiating.  Burial will follow in Crane Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the church.  Memorials may be directed to Isaiah 61 Charity.
