Baseball roundup: Niles baseball team splits with St. Joseph in West

ST. JOSEPH – The Niles baseball team pulled off another split on Thursday against St. Joe.

The Vikings dominated game one 9-0. Riley Robson and John Carey combined for a two-hitter. Matt McLaughlin was 3-for-4 with a double.

St. Joe rebounded in game two in an 8-3 win. Niles had seven hits but could only manage three runs in the game.

Brandywine at Blissfield
ADRIAN – The Brandywine baseball team split a pair of games with host Blissfield on Thursday at Adrian College.

The Bobcats won the opening game 4-2, while the Bobcats dropped the nightcap 10-0 in five innings.

Joe Godfrey got the win in the first game an doubled for the Bobcats.

Alex Erwin took the lose in the second game.

Brandywine is now 18-14 on the seaosn, while Blissfield is 27-5.
