Daylene M. Hayes of Allegan, formerly of St. Joseph, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at her home.

Daylene was born Sept. 24, 1925, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Day and Edith (Sass) Armstrong.

She was a very classy lady who loved her family very much and also enjoyed a little glitz and glamour.

Surviving are: five children, Cheryl and Ed Neumann of Dowagiac, Greg Hayes of St. Joseph, DeeDee Hayes of Benton Harbor, Denise and Ted Olmsted of Allegan and Debroah and Bill Northrup of Dowagiac; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very special friend, Larry Schreiber.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hayes, one brother and three sisters.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
