Kathryn E. Gebhard, 52, of Kenai, Alaska died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born Aug. 19, 1957 in Newark, Ohio to Richard and Eleanor (Grubaugh) Tyhurst.
Kathryn was formerly employed as a technical records clerk at Era Helicopters in Anchorage. She enjoyed sewing and fishing. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Soldotna, Alaska.

On Nov. 18, 1985 in Anchorage, Alaska she married Michael E. Gebhard. He survives along with one sister, Carolyn (Warren) Sipos, of Middletown, Ohio. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Kenai, Alaska.

At her request her cremains will be scattered in Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Leeshore Center, 325 South Spruce St., Kenai, AK 99611.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
