Helen M. Hanes, 92, of Wells Street in Niles died Friday, May 7, 2010 at 3:35 p.m. at Riveridge Manor of natural cause.

She was a lifetime area resident born on August 16, 1917 in Three Oaks and a member of Niles Grace Brethren Church.

On December 17, 1938 she married Dalvin Hanes in South Bend Ind.

A homemaker, Helen was also a mother of three and is survived by her son David (Bonnie) Hanes of Galien and daughters Nancy (Michael) Funderburg of Washington, Penn. and Janice Horner of Niles; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalvin Hanes who passed away on June 14, 2000.

Services for Helen Hanes will be held on Tuesday May 11 at 11 a.m. at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan with Pastor Michael Ostrander of Niles Grace Brethren Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
