Eddies continue to lead Lakeland

EAU CLAIRE – Another Lakeland Conference Jamboree and another victory for the Edwardsburg golf team.

The chase for the league title has turned into a runaway for the Eddies, who now lead runner-up Coloma by eight points.

Edwardsburg won the latest jamboree hosted by Berrien Springs on Friday at Indian Lake Hills by five strokes, the closes finish of the year.

The host Shamrocks finished second to the Eddies (151-156). Coloma was third (174), Bridgman fourth (179), Cassopolis fifth (181), Brandywine was sixth (181) and Buchanan seventh (182).

The Eddies Cameron Barber was the medalist for the second straight match after shooting 34.

Edwardsburg also got a 37 from Chris Eaton, a 38 from Luke Rohrman, a 42 from Dominic Razzano, as well as 47s from Curtis Holmes and Max Habicht.

Cassopolis was led by Blaise Suseland’s 37

Dillon Bailey led the Bobcats with a 39. Jason Andrews shot 47, while Zach Rose and Nate Balint both shot 48. Adam Earles shot 50 and Dylan Frost 57.

Josh Whitfield paced the Bucks with a 40. Derek Blank shot 42, Brent Brown 49, Adam Byrdak 51, Dustan Craig 52 and Kole Griffey 55.
