BUCHANAN – The Buchanan varsity baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader with visiting Lake Michigan Catholic on Thursday.

The Lakers won the first game 16-5, while the Bucks bounced back to win the nightcap 6-2.

Buchanan was outhit by Lake Michigan 17-6 in the first game. The Bucks also committed four errors.

In the second game, the Bucks finished with nine hits and scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the victory.

Jake Wahlstrom picked up the win.

Buchanan is now 10-6 on the season.
