Frederick 'Fritz' C. Gench, 82 / June 1, 1927 – April 20, 2010

Frederick “Fritz” C. Gench, 82, of Cassopolis passed away at his home Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Fritz’s life began on June 1, 1927 in Benton Harbor, the son of Albert and Emma (Schuck) Gench.  He served his country in the United States Army during World War II as part of the occupying forces in Japan.  Fritz was a lifelong farmer in both Cassopolis and in Stevensville.
His loving family includes a brother, Arthur Gench, of St. Joseph; nieces and nephews, Bill (Diana) Grabemeyer, of Sister Lakes, Don ( Donna) Grabemeyer, of Sister Lakes, Dave ( Peggy) Grabemeyer, of Sister Lakes, Kathy (Kurt) Lundberg, of California, Sue ( Angelo) Grande,’ of California, Lori Eisbrenner, of Texas, Denise Eisbrenner, of Grand Rapids, Marie Eisbrenner, of Watervliet, Christine (Jason ), Roland, of Watervliet, Kim Cobble, of Indiana and Robin (Joe) Ross, of Kalamazoo; many great nieces and nephews; and his caring and watchful caregivers, the Dussell Family, of Cassopolis.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Gench; and sisters, Doris Grabemeyer and Ruthie Eisbrenner.
His family gathered on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. led by Pastor Rob Lowe of the Federated Covenant Church.
He was laid to rest in North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma.
