Eddies win another jamboree

COLOMA – The Edwardsburg golf team continues to strengthen its hold on the Lakeland Conference standings as the Eddies won yet another jamboree on Monday.

Edwardsburg shot 175 to easily outdistance runner-up Coloma, which shot 189.
Berrien Springs was third (191), Cassopolis fourth (200), Brandywine fifth (204), Buchanan sixth (204) and Bridgman seventh (212).

The Eddies now have 21 points, while Coloma is second with 17. Berrien Springs is a point farther back at 16 and Buchanan fourth with 10 points.

Brandywine (9), Cassopolis (7) and Bridgman (4) round out the standings.

Chris Eaton was once again medalist as he shot 39.

The Eddies also got a 40 from Cameron Barber, a 48 from Dominic Razzano and a 48 from Pierce Bourgeois.

Cassopolis was led by Blaise Suseland’s 41. Tim Coates shot 46, Tony Jones 54 and Gavin Francis 59.

At Pebblewood
BRIDGMAN – There would seem to be no catching the Edwardsburg golf team now.

The Eddies have won every Lakeland Conference Jamboree with ease and Tuesday’s make-up match at Pebblewood in Bridgman was no exception.

Edwardsburg shot 156 to win the jamboree.

Brandywine jumped up and finished in second place after shooting 170. Coloma was third at 171 and Berrien Springs fourth at 173. Buchanan rounded out the top five with a 180.
The Eddies now have 28 points, six points better than second place Coloma. Berrien Springs is third with 20 points.

Cameron Barber led Edwardsburg with a 35, which was good for medalist honors on Tuesday.

The Eddies also got a 36 from Chris Eaton, a 42 from Brody Baucus, a 43 from Dominic Razzano and a pair of 46s from Pierce Bourgeois and Max Habicht.

Dillon Bailey led the Bobcats with a 36. Zach Rose shot 42, Nate Balint 45, Jason Andrews 47, Adam Earles 48 and Dylan Frost 58.

The Bucks were paced by Brent Brown’s 42. Josh Whitfield and Derek Blank both shot 44. Dustan Craig shot 50, Adam Byrdak 51 and Kole Griffey 54.
