Eddies take pair from Three Rivers; Cass swept by host Bridgman

The Edwardsburg softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from visiting Three Rivers on Tuesday.

The Eddies (5-6) won the opening 5-1 behind the four-hit pitching of Ashley Tackett.
Tackett struck out 12 in earning the win.

Edwardsburg completed the sweep with a 5-2 win.

Andrea LaPlace, Ashley Wegner and Tackett combined on a three-hitter.

Aubrey Coquillard homered for the Eddies, who also got three hits from Allison Koontz.
In the second game, Victoria Hurst had a double for Edwardsburg.

Cassopolis at Bridgman
BRIDGMAN – The Cassopolis softball team dropped a Lakeland Conference doubleheader to host Bridgman on Tuesday.

The Rangers lost the first game 16-1 in three innings, while the Bees won the nightcap 11-1 in five innings.

Olivia Stewart took the loss in both games.
Cassopolis was no-hit by Maddie Siebenmark in the opener.

Stewart had a double for the Rangers in the second game.
