The Lakeland Conference showdown between host Edwardsburg and Brandywine didn’t settle very much as the two teams played to a 4-4 tie.

Edwardsburg swept the singles flights, while Brandywine came away with all four victories in doubles play.

“What a great job by our kids,” Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said. “Today was the first time this season our team was at full strength and it is encouraging that we could tie a veteran team like Edwardsburg at their courts. I was really proud of Katie and Nichole’s performance in their three-set win.”

Katie Robbins and Nichole Coshow had to go three sets to defeat Hayley Jones and Jamie Richardson in the best match of the day.

After dropping the first set 6-1, Robbins and Coshow won the next two sets 6-3 and 6-3.
