Dowagiac's Macy Howard was the lone winner against Gull Lake on Wednesday.

One of the best teams in the Wolverine Conference came calling on Wednesday and the Dowagiac tennis team had no answers.

Gull Lake, who won the Greater Kalamazoo Area tournament on Monday, defeated the Chieftains 7-1.

Dowagiac’s lone victory came at No. 1 singles where Macy Howard
defeated Katie Loney 6-1 and 6-0.

The junior varsity tennis team was defeated by Gull Lake 9-1.

Winning the lone match for the Chieftains were Rachel McLaughlin and Amber Eblin who defeated Kristi Deshess and Amber Henniges 5-3, 4-5 and 10-8.
