BERRIEN SPRINGS – The Brandywine boys’ track team defeated Berrien Springs in a Lakeland Conference meet on Monday 79-58.

The Bobcats were not as fortunate in the girls’ portion of the event as they were defeated by the Shamrocks 106-33.

Lance Prescott won both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles for Brandywine, while David Dykema was a double winner as well in the 400- and 200-meters.

Ryan Probst, Elliott Richards and Stone Hadley won both individual events and as members of the Bobcats’ 3,200-meter relay team.

Probst also won the 1,600-meters, while Elliott captured the 3,200-meters. Hadley won the 800-meters.

The fourth member of the 3,200-meter relay team was A.J. Srmek.
Aaron Marquardt and Jake Wieger were the other two Brandywine thinclads to win events.

Marquardt won the long jump and Wieger the pole vault.

Dawn Smith was a double winner for the Brandywine girls’ team.

Smith won both the shot put and the discus.

The other winner for the Bobcats was Taylor Stowe in the pole vault.
