WATERVLIET – The Brandywine boys’ track team finished third at the Watervliet Relays on Saturday.

Hartford won the meet with 77 points, while Marcellus edged Brandywine 66-65 to earn second place. Host Watervliet was third with 62 points and Berrien Springs fourth with 42 points. Bridgman rounded out the top five with 39 points.

The Bobcats captured the long jump relay with a total distance of 36-6.5. The team consisted of Aaron Marquardt and Demetrius Burt.

The team of Lance Prescott, Stone Hadley, Austin Knight and David Dykema took first in the Panther Relay with a time of 2:10. The relay consisted for a 200-, 300-, 100- and 400-meters.

Hadley, Prescott, Marquardt and Dykema won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:44.33.

Brandywine was sixth in the girls’ event.

Watervliet won the meet with 82 points, while Berrien Springs was second with 78. The Bobcats finished with 11 points.
