Bangor pedestrian, 16, hit by vehicle in DowagiacPublished 10:22am Friday, April 16, 2010
Chief Thomas Atkinson, director of Dowagiac Public Safety, reports that on April 15 at 5:38 p.m, officers from the Dowagiac Police Department responded to the intersection of S. Front and W. Division streets in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was identified as a 16-year-old male from Bangor, struck as was crossing the street by a vehicle driven by a 51- year-old Dowagiac resident.
The pedestrian was transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital Emergency Department by Coloma EMS with non- life threatening injuries.
Officers from the Dowagiac Police Department were assisted on scene by the Pokagon Tribal Police Department.
Investigation resulted in no citations being issued.
