LaPorte slices up Brandywine 23-0

LAPORTE, Ind. – A 15-run second inning and a no-hitter tossed by Kevin Upp made it an easy night for host LaPorte in a 23-0 five inning victory over Brandywine Tuesday night in high school baseball action.

Upp pitched a perfect game, striking out 12 of the 15 batters he faced.

Dustin DeMuth and Evan Jurjevic did most of the offensive damage for the Slicers, who finished with 17 hits off of six Bobcat pitchers.

DeMuth and Jurjevic each had three hits. DeMuth and Jake McMahon both doubled, while Darius Kincaid tripled for LaPorte, which improved to 4-0 on the season.

The loss drops Brandywine to 3-2.
